Two month have elapsed since our last post and we are still under the impression after visiting Canberra district with WineLook guests. Irina kindly lead them through several vineyards where they were introduced to the local art of grape growing and wine making. Visitors showed their interests to trellis construction, vine training and pruning,soil types, irrigation and cost of production.

YOUNG drinkers need to be weaned off alcoholic soda drinks and exposed to wine, winemakers have said.
About 15,000 people gathered in Hyde Park yesterday to sample drops from 103 of the state's viticulturists in the biggest-ever outdoor wine show, sponsored by the Herald's Good Living section.

Following a short Christmas break, WineLook has been able to penetrate the Russian market. After months of preparation last year, we decided to participate in one of the largest exhibitions held in Moscow. Our journey to the PRODEXPO 2008 was prepared by Moscow Austrade where Nina Metropolskaia provided valued help about market peculiarities and organizing meetings with important people.

"Experience Coonawarra" Event (22-August-2007 )
 Sydney's Grace Hotel - Despite our busy schedule WineLook found time to visit the "Experience Coonawarra" Event at Sydney's Grace Hotel. When we arrived, we were shocked to see the room overcrowded and chaotic. Happily, however, our charming Irina bumped into our old friend Brian Lynn, the famous Winemaker from Majella Wines. Although he was extremely busy he found time to talk about his latest products.

 "As the cool sea breeze caresses the air, the colour fades and moonlight and stars gradually appear through the night sky. The perfect atmosphere for enjoying a glass of fine wine".
This is the way most touristy brochures begin about Thailand. This impression greeted us with the Thai Buddha in a new Bankok airport. Real potted orchids encircling escalators lead us to the very hot outdoor taxi rank, typical of the tropical zone.
Thankfully, the Thaifex- World of Food Asia 2007 exhibition hall was cool and comfortable.
