"Experience Coonawarra" Event (22-August-2007 )
Despite our busy schedule WineLook found time to visit the "Experience Coonawarra" Event at Sydney's Grace Hotel. When we arrived, we were shocked to see the room overcrowded and chaotic. Happily, however, our charming Irina bumped into our old friend Brian Lynn, the famous Winemaker from Majella Wines. Although he was extremely busy he found time to talk about his latest products.
Old friends get together
Already knowing the answer, Irina enquires about buying a few cases of Majella.
"All gone!" - Brian tells Irina. "You should get out of bed earlier to put in an order!  "
After about 50 tastings WineLook was particularly impressed with the latest wines from: Hollick Cabernet Sauvignon and Sparkling Merlot, which was expectedly excellent, Trentham Estate-Botrytis nectar, Blok Estate Cabernet Sauvignon rich purple-ruby, typical Coonawarra nose, velvety on the mouth, perfectly balanced, lingering aftertaste.
