Winemaker's Notes. You want to dive deep into this dark cavern of cassis, anise and cedary oak that you get the feeling you could be lost forever. It’s big in tannins, too, though there are some pretty garden herb edges to grab onto. It's a leviathan, though well toned and impressive.
Testing notes. Colour. Deep dark violet
Testing notes. Nose Bouqet. Blackberry fruit nuances, intensified and enhanced by the extremely low yield of 3/4 ton per acre.
Testing notes. Taste Palate. As well as the low yield from dead arm affliction, the intensity of flavour is enhanced by the non clonal vineyard, the mixed clone producing wild variations among the vines in berry size and quantity of fruit. |
