Winemaker's Notes.
The fruit for our 2004 Pinot Noir is sourced from our Yarra Valley vineyard at Healesville. All the fruit was hand harvested on March 28. After crushing, it was vinified in open top fermenters. The fruit was hand plunged to aid gentle tanning extraction. After pressing this wine was matured in French oak barriques, 25% of which were new, for 15 months. 469 cases produced.
Testing notes. Colour.
Testing notes. Nose Bouqet. Dark cherry, anise and warm spicy aroma.
Testing notes. Taste Palate. This wine displays a deep garnet colour and typical Pinot Noir characters of plums, cherries, forest undergrowth and violets. These flavours are also evident on the palate, with great length, a hint of oak and a warm velvet finish. |
