Winemaker's Notes.
Produced entirely from fruit grown at our vineyard on the high slopes of the Long Gully Ridge. The fruit was hand picked on 29th March, crushed, pressed and cold settled for 48 hours. From here it was racked into both tanks (50%) and old French oak barriques (50%) for fermentation. Following the completion of fermentation, the wine was matured on lees with periodic stirring. The wine was lightly fined and filtered. 184 Cases produced
Testing notes. Colour.
Testing notes. Nose Bouqet.
Testing notes. Taste Palate. This wine shows a bronze colour, typical of the variety, exhibiting strong orange blossom, ripe pear and white stone fruit aromas with beeswax and mineral notes. The palate has dense, rich stone fruit and ripe pear flavours, an underlying
mineral edge and a pleasing nutty finish. |
